The Arab Mediation Center and the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council discuss avenues of cooperation.

"His Excellency Dr. Fares bin Mohammed Al-Qarni, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Arab Mediation Center, met with a number of leaders and experts from the center. His Excellency Counselor Sultan bin Nasser Al-Suwaidi, Assistant Secretary-General for Legislative and Legal Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and a number of Secretariat leaders, on Monday, the fourth of March 2024, at the Secretariat headquarters in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia."

"The center reviewed the role of mediation and ways to resolve disputes in supporting the Council's vision for judicial integration, as well as mechanisms to support the Council's vision in activating preventive justice and achieving the targets of economic agreements in crossing borders and achieving effective economic integration, based on the principle 'There is no successful economic activity without an effective and advanced dispute resolution system.' This involves facilitating law enforcement mechanisms and providing verifiable alternatives that ensure time and cost efficiency and safeguard the parties' privacy."

"The meeting also addressed mechanisms for cooperation and opportunities to create an internal mechanism within the Council's countries, enabling the Council's working team and assisting secretariats in various sectors to build a comprehensive system for amicable settlement in all Council countries under the umbrella and supervision of the Council, according to the most successful international standards and in line with best practices worldwide."
